Our 2020 Highlights

2020 will forevermore be known as the year that the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world. As much as many of these changes might have been negative, we were lucky enough to experience a lot of positivity over this time. As we look back on a challenging year, we are grateful for our village and the community who call Renishaw Hills home. Here are our highlights…

We grew an even greater appreciation for our location

Whilst we’ve always appreciated our surroundings, 2020 was the year that we really got to enjoy them without distractions. With a nationwide lockdown keeping many indoors, our residents still got to live the holiday thanks to our beautiful indigenous gardens, spectacular views and native birds and wildlife. Once we reached lower levels of lockdown, our residents were able to enjoy the beach and our on-site nature trails.

We discovered that together, we will always be stronger

2020 was the year that we discovered the true strength of our Renishaw Hills community. Even during a global pandemic, nothing could shake the bonds of neighbours who had become family. Whilst they weren’t allowed to socialise for quite some time, they could stand in their own driveways and greet each other each morning. This proves that when the going gets tough, our people will always find a way to encourage and support each other.

We unlocked new passions

A few months in lockdown allowed us time to enjoy some interesting pastimes that might even be here to stay. Our residents embraced their creativity and curiosity through a host of activities from puzzles, to scrapbooking, gardening and even photography. We’re incredibly inspired by the way they kept busy over this trying period.

We saw positivity take the reigns

At a time when it was easy to think negatively, our residents were the epitome of positivity. As a result, their mindsets allowed them to stay happy and healthy throughout 2020. When positivity breeds more positivity, our village became a wonderful place to be during a period where many were fearful and unhappy.
