Winter is here. Whilst it’s the least favourite season for many, we welcome it with open arms at Renishaw Hills. Thanks to our location in Scottburgh on the South Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, we’ve got several reasons to embrace this time of the year.
From our awesome weather to an extensive list of activities, here’s why you just can’t beat our winters.
1. We still get the sunshine
Whilst other parts of the nation are battling with freezing temperatures and gale force winds, we’re still basking in the sunshine. With temperatures up to the mid-twenties during winter, we can still enjoy our surroundings. Even when it feels a little more chilly than usual, there’s nothing better than a blanket and a cup of tea on the patio at Renishaw Hills!
2. We’re inspired to get outdoors
More bearable temperatures mean all the more reason to get outside. With close proximity to the sea and even on-site nature trails, there are several opportunities to enjoy yourself. Staying indoors during winter simply isn’t an option when the weather and our surroundings are this glorious. It’s why our homes are designed to provide the best of indoor/outdoor living no matter what you prefer doing.
3. Our gardens are beautiful
Thanks to our very own Dr Elsa Pooley, we have stunning indigenous gardens for all to take in. They’ve even been chosen to host the Botanical Society’s Open Gardens, a real honour for us. These gardens are water wise and encourage our local birdlife, something that ties in with our approach to conservation and sustainability. Our gardens also form the perfect setting for a daily walk or even tea with friends, allowing residents to enjoy them as they choose.
4. There’s so much to do on the South Coast
