Whilst we never need an excuse to host a gathering, the festive season is a fantastic time to bring our residents and their loved ones together at Renishaw Hills…
Those who attended our Christmas Market last year will remember the fun and festivities put on by our residents. With every stall being manned by those who call Renishaw Hills home, it was heart-warming to see the effort made by each person. From handmade items to delicious goodies, everything was made with so much love and care. This definitely showed as many stalls were sold out by the time the market was over. From Christmas cakes to classic rusks, shortbread, crunchies and preserves, every sweet tooth found something to enjoy. There were also pancakes for those who didn’t want to wait until they got home to devour their purchases.
Decorations were also on offer for those wanting to up their game in hopes of luring Father Christmas. There were trees, baubles, elves and even reindeer. All were simply gorgeous. A variety of crocheted items made for one-of-a-kind gifts and colourful placemats soon became a must for every Christmas day table. Another highlight was definitely the live music and photo booth that helped spread the festive cheer. This really set the tone for the day and brought a smile to the faces of many.
With last year’s event being a true success, it’s no surprise that our residents have been hard at work on something bigger and better than ever! On Saturday 2 November at 10am, Mackaya Bella Community Centre will be filled with festive merriment as we host our annual Christmas Market! With some old favourites and a few new treasures, it’s set to be a great day out for all. We can’t wait to welcome our residents’ loved ones and members of the public to share in an event that brings us all so much joy.
