Demand for units within Renishaw Hills – a mature lifestyle village to be developed on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast – is greater than expected with a waiting list already established for Phase 1.
Situated within the tranquil Mpambanyoni Conservation Development to the west of Scottburgh, Renishaw Hills forms the first of a number of developments, which will unfold into an estate of interconnected commercial and residential villages over the next 20 to 30 years.
“We anticipated significant interest in the development but the initial demand has already exceeded all our expectations,” explained Julieann Hampson of Renishaw Property Developments, a subsidiary of the Crookes Brothers group. “We believe this is because Renishaw is offering a people the chance to experience a real community lifestyle in a serene, secure environment which provides world-class healthcare facilities and services.”
The waiting list for the promotional Phase 1, which includes 27 freestanding houses, has been closed and the site has already been cleared and demarcated for construction to begin. Viewing of this site is available through appointment. The sales’ register for Phase 1 will be opened in June, during which time any interested parties are encouraged to sign up for Phase 2 of the development, the site plan of which will be uploaded onto the website shortly.
“Our architectural consultants are currently finalising the layout of the entire site, which will include 350 houses, 200 apartments, open areas and communal facilities,” said Julieann. “Once completed, we will demarcate Phase 2 which will then be displayed on our website alongside future phasing planned.”
Phase 2 of Renishaw Hills will include freestanding houses, as well as a limited number of duplex-type buildings which will consist of two separate homes, one above the other, with separate entrances.
“The reason for this design is to enhance the views from every home while working around the site’s topography. We are also in the process of developing the design for apartments which will also be on our website soon.”
The positioning of Renishaw Hills will allow residents to enjoy captivating ocean views, the pristine coastal forest and untouched wetlands in one of the country’s most picturesque locations. Development will ensure the incorporation of natural elements as far as possible while maximising on the natural beauty afforded the area.
Commenting on the infrastructure progress, Julieann said: “We are awaiting the final approvals from Umdoni Municipality and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Environmental Affairs before we begin construction, but these are expected by the end of May.”
“Once received, we will begin the construction of a 3km access road, gatehouse and showhouse. We will also be installing electrical, domestic water, waste removal and communications’ infrastructure, as well as security fencing.”
Residents at Renishaw Hills will have the latest security which will remain unobtrusive, blending into the natural surroundings where possible. This allows residents to enjoy the quintessentially laidback South Coast lifestyle in comfort and security.
Easy access to some of the many shopping centres and conveniences within the Scottburgh vicinity will be provided via a transport facility on site. Welcoming community centres will also afford residents the opportunity to interact with like-minded individuals while the quality healthcare facilities ensure complete wellbeing.
