At Renishaw Hills, residents are embracing an active lifestyle that blends coastal beauty, open farmland and shaded indigenous forest trails – proving that retirement can be every bit as energising as it is peaceful.
They say age is just a number, but at Renishaw Hills, we prefer to measure it in kilometers of single-track trail!
There is a movement gaining massive momentum on the KZN South Coast: Mountain Biking for Seniors. Far from slowing down, our residents are discovering that trail biking is not only fun and communal, it also supports healthy aging.

Cycling offers so much more than exercise for older adults. It supports heart health, improves balance and co-ordination, strengthens muscles and joints with low impact movement, and boosts mental wellbeing. Just as importantly, it creates connection – with neighbours, with nature and with a meaningful everyday routine.
That spirit is alive and well at Renishaw Hills, where an enthusiastic resident cycling group makes the most of the estate’s scenic network of trails and shared outdoor lifestyle.

A community that keeps moving
Residents at Renishaw Hills have access to roughly 40 kilometres of trails, with varying route lengths, skill levels and plenty of shaded single-track sections. For many, it’s not about speed – it’s about staying active, getting outdoors, and sharing the ride with friends.
It is another wonderful example of how life here supports healthy aging in a way that feels natural, social and enjoyable.

More than a place to live
At Renishaw Hills, healthy aging is not a slogan – it is part of daily life. Whether residents are cycling, walking, birdwatching, socialising or simply enjoying the view, the lifestyle here encourages people to keep doing what they love in a safe, beautiful and connected environment.
While others come to the South Coast for a holiday, our residents get to live it every day.

On Saturday, 20 June 2026, the Scottburgh Cycling Club will host the Renishaw Solstice Race, proudly title-sponsored by Renishaw Coastal Precinct. As part of the KZN Super Classic Series, the event will showcase both mountain biking and trail running along the Crocworld trails, which connect to Renishaw’s popular trail network enjoyed by many of our residents.
To support this growing hub of adventure, we are also excited to announce the impending launch of a brand-new bicycle shop – Badger’s Cycling & Sport Centre – at Crocworld Conservation Centre, just a few kilometres from Renishaw Hills. 🚴🏼
